Most homes have a focal point—a fireplace, a wall of windows, or an expansive kitchen. In our latest project, the Savannah, that centerpiece is undeniably the staircase. With its sweeping, curved design, it sets the tone the moment you step through the front door. This new feature was an exciting challenge for our team, and it has quickly become the most talked-about feature in the home.

The "Dreaming" Phase
Most journeys to a new home start in the same place: the quiet moments of scrolling. It’s a Pinterest board filled with “someday” kitchens, a saved Instagram reel of a sun-drenched morning room, and a collection of textures that just feel right.
But at Robert Thomas Homes, we believe the transition from a digital “pin” to a physical floor plan should be the most exciting part of your journey. That is the essence of The Inspired Mindset, it’s the moment we stop asking “What if?” and start seeing “How.”

Inside the Design Studio: Design Day
“We approach Design Day as a guided, collaborative experience. You don’t need to have everything figured out, that’s what we’re here for. By starting with your biggest decisions and building from there, we simplify the process so each choice feels natural, cohesive, and genuinely enjoyable.”
— Kirsten, RTH Senior Interior Designer
Before Design Day even begins, our team sets the foundation for a seamless experience. Each homeowner completes an Interior Design Questionnaire, allowing us to walk into the studio with an understanding of your style, priorities, and the way you want your home to feel.
From there, we guide you step-by-step—starting with the core elements like wood flooring and kitchen cabinetry. These foundational choices establish the tone of your entire home. Once your kitchen design is defined, the rest of the selections begin to fall into place, transforming what could feel overwhelming into something exciting.
Move-in Ready
The Vision Alignment
We begin by grounding the day in your lifestyle and aesthetic. Whether you’re drawn to coastal-modern simplicity or a richer, more traditional palette, we focus on the why behind your vision, so every decision feels intentional and feels like you.
The Tactile Transition
This is where inspiration becomes reality. You’ll see and feel the materials—tile, hardwood, cabinetry—laid out together. It’s in this moment, when textures and tones meet, that your home begins to take shape in a tangible, meaningful way.
The Expert Filter
Our designers act as your guide! Love a bold backsplash? We’ll help you pair it with the perfect countertop. Drawn to a statement light fixture? We’ll ensure it complements the overall palette. We manage the technical details so you can stay focused on creating something you love.
To keep the experience both productive and enjoyable, we follow a thoughtfully structured flow. Our goal is to complete the majority of selections before lunch, giving you time to reflect before finalizing.
